BIMfriend: The Combined Configuration Creator

I am a trained architect with many years of hands-on experience in architectural design and project coordination. Over time, I specialized as a BIM Manager and hold an Archicad BIM Manager certification. I actively use industry-standard tools and am proficient in the most widely used architectural and engineering software, as well as in IFC model checking applications, which are an integral part of my daily work.

I am currently working on the CCC-Tool, a web-based application that converts Microsoft Excel files into three key formats: IDS, Archicad, and Revit. The name stands for “Combined Configuration Creator" for BIM, reflecting the app’s core mission: to make time-consuming format transformations fast and seamless. I deliberately chose Excel as the input format, as most LOI (Level of Information) lists are originally created in Excel—making it much faster and more practical to generate IDS or other configuration files directly.

The idea for CCC-Tool was born from my own experience and frustration with inefficient data handling in BIM workflows. Drawing on my extensive field experience, I integrate real-world needs into the development process to ensure the tool provides tangible value to all stakeholders—from clients to designers. I collaborate with an international team and continuously improve the application based on professional feedback. My broader vision is to simplify data exchange in the AEC industry without compromising accuracy or intent.

When I'm not developing, I enjoy cycling, running, or hiking in the mountains. Through CCC-Tool, I hope to offer users the same sense of clarity and efficiency that I value in my own work.
